    4.1 Introduction The FLIR Si2x-Series series represents the most advanced acoustic perform- ance and decision support available on the market today. The FLIR Si2x-Series series are ATEX certified acoustic cameras for hazardous locations. These cam- eras allow quantification of pressurized gas leakage, mechanical fault identifica- tion and partial discharge detection in explosive atmosphere.
  • Page 9 4 FLIR Si2x-Series operations 1.1. Temporarily remove the battery guard by grasping the ends near the front of the camera. If using a compliant neck strap, remove it first. 1.2. Slide the battery guard down from the top and make sure the neck strap attachment points are free.

    Reattach the battery guard: 3.1. Orient the battery guard with the FLIR logo facing outward. 3.2. Insert the front end to cover the front of the battery casing. Then, pull the other end to fit over the back where the battery compart- ment is located.
