Vista 5 Service Manual
RAID setup
The Vista5 is for safty reasons equipped with 2 hard disks.
The RAID (redundant array of independent disks) is responsible to control the 2 hard disks.
The exact coaction of the hard disks is defined in the RAID level. The most common Raid levels are RAID 0
(striped), RAID 1(mirrored) and RAID 5 (striped set [3 disk minimum] with distributed parity).
For our system we us RAID 1.
Since an unintentional power failure may cause the loss of the RAID or RAID settings, we strongly recommend to
use a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) which allows the PC to switch off controlled!
RAID Settings:
Switch on the desk and while booting wait for the command Press <CTRL I> to enter Configuration utility (see
marked aera below:
