RINSTRUM R420 - Trouble Shooting Guide
PROBLEM: DESCRIPTION:
No Power No red light,
No power on screen
Error Code E0001
Low Power
Error Code E2000
ULOAD
Weights floating up
and down
Remote control Green light does not
not working come on
Red power light is on
ACTION:
• Check the 7-Pin plug on trailer and vehicle is connected properly.
• Check fuses in Remscale box. Replace with 3 amp fuse.
• Reboot system - turn vehicle lights off and back on again.
• Connect Yellow Kelpie to a different vehicle to isolate if the problem is
on the trailer, or in the vehicle.
• Not enough voltage is being supplied to the scales.
• Repeat Actions for "No Power" as above.
• Use a Multimeter to check for 12 volts at the 7-Pin plug on the vehicle
Pin 3 - Earth, Pin - 7 - Tail lights, with lights turned on
• Check for damaged wiring and or broken lights for an earth short.
• Check 12 Pin plug at the bottom of the Remscale box
disconnect plug and blow out any dirt or moisture
check for loose wires in and around the 12 Pin plug
• Scales are not reading the loadcells properly.
• Repeat Actions for "Low Power" as above.
• Check the indicator screen is tight in the bracket and does not move
up and down loosley. If loose, remove the indicator from the Remscale
box and tighten screws on the side of the bracket.
• Check Deutscher plugs behind the indicator screen.
disconnect plugs and blow out any dirt or moisture
check for loose wires in and around the Deutscher plugs
• Press f 3 button on indicator screen - does the green light
come on and actuator open? Yes / No?
Yes: Check and replace battery in remote control handset and try again.
No: Check position of Flow Rate dial. Make sure the dial is set to
5 or greater. Setting 1 or 2 does not open the door very far
