  • Page 24 Plug-and-Play You can connect the monitor to any Plug-and-Play compatible computer. The monitor automatically provides the computer with its Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols so that the computer can configure itself and optimize the monitor settings. Most monitor installations are automatic; you can select different settings as required. For more information about changing the monitor settings, see Operating the monitor.

NOTE: The stand assembly is not pre-installed when the monitor is shipped from the factory. NOTE: The following instructions are applicable only for the stand that was shipped with your monitor. If you are attaching a stand that you purchased from any other source, follow the setup instructions that are included with the stand.

If you are attaching a stand that you purchased from any other source, follow the setup instructions that are included with the stand. Tilt and swivel adjustment With the stand attached to the monitor, you can tilt and swivel the monitor for the most comfortable viewing angle.

  • Page 35 Organizing your cables After attaching all required cables to your monitor and computer (see Connecting your monitor for cable attachment), route the cables through the cable-management slot on the stand. If a cable does not reach your computer when routing it through the slot, then connect the cable directly to the computer instead. Figure 26.

  • Page 37 Securing your monitor using Kensington lock (optional) The security-lock slot is located at the bottom of the monitor (see Security-lock slot). Secure your monitor to a table using the Kensington security lock. For more information on using the Kensington lock (purchased separately), see the documentation that is shipped with the lock.   • Page 38 Removing the monitor stand CAUTION: To prevent scratches on the screen when removing the stand, ensure that the monitor is placed on a soft surface and handle it carefully. CAUTION: The following steps are specifically for removing the stand that is shipped with your monitor. If you are removing a stand that you purchased from any other source, follow the setup instructions that are included with the stand.

  • Page 47 Icon Menu and submenu Description This feature can shift the color of the video image to green or purple. This is used to adjust the desired flesh-tone color. Use the joystick button to adjust the hue level from 0 to 100. Higher levels increase the green shade of the video image, while lower levels increase the purple shade of the video image.

You can disable this feature by selecting OFF. Enable this feature for the best user experience and optimum performance of your monitor.

Alternatively, this feature is activated automatically when you have used the monitor for 4 hours. The process takes approximately 6 to 8 minutes to complete.
