Possible Cause
RF POWER setting is turned too
far counterclockwise.
Turn the RF POWER control fully
counterclockwise to the COMP OFF
position, or turn the RF POWER |
control clockwise while watching the
multi-function meter, to obtain the
proper output power.
Turn the MIC GAIN Control clock-
wise to the center (12 o'clock)
position.
Set the MODE switch to the USB,
LSB, AM or FM position.
