PREFACE Thank you very much for purchasing the boring machine. The manual concerns the operation, safely, and maintenance of the boring machine. This manual should be kept readily available to operator for reference. The operator should read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure the secure, smooth operation of the machine.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES There is a certain amount of hazard involved with the operator and his use of the machine, Using the machine with respect and caution demanded as far as safety precautions are concerned will considerable lessen the possibility of personal injury, However, if normal safety precautions are overlooked or completely ignored, personal injury to the operator can develop.

GENERAL PRECAUTION FOR SAFE USE OF THE BORING MACHINE General precaution are described below so that the boring machine can be used safety. Our company engineer or our distributors may also explain in detail how the machine works and how it is operated safely when the machine is installed or when operation guidance is given.
LIFTING THE MACHINE A forklift truck ( 2 Tons ) shall be applied for lofting this machine to a work site. Be sure to use a forklift truck with a sufficient loading capacity to move or lift the machine. The machine weight for is 100 kgs (Net weight ) .
PLACEMENT OF THE MACHINE The machine should be placed on a stable surface capable of supporting its weight. Any difference in height should comply with building regulations. Should the machine be placed on an upper floor, the supporting floor slab should be adequate for the weight of the machine.
CONNECT THE POWER WIRES 1. The machine needs an adequate power supply, and it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician. On installing the machine, the power source wires need to be connected to the R.S.T. terminals. 2. After the power wires has been connected, check to see if they are connected to the correct connection points by checking the running direction of the spindles.
SPECIFICATION Model Specifications HS-21T Distance between center 32 mm Table size 872*490 mm No. of total spindles per machine Total motor horsepower 2.5 HP x 1 Max. thickness of panel 30 mm N.W. 350 KGS Machine dimensions 968*820*1220mm...

Operating Controls The controls at the front of the machine and are described from left to right Speed Control Adjusts the feed rat of the boring bits into the stock. Turn clockwise to reduce speed, counterclockwise to increase speed. Note : This adjustment can be fine tuned at the rear of the machine Vertical/Horizontal Moves the boring head unit to either vertical or horizontal boring position...

HORIZONTAL BORING UNIT Use this crank handle ( A ) for demand size , you could read it by mechanical digital readout ( B ) . The horizontal boring unit ( C ) will move as the size . ( Before adjust , please loose handle ( G ) , after adjust , please tight it on . Set up the drill depth can use six boring depths selector ( D ) ( 1 –...

INSTALLING / REPLACING DRILL BITS Brill bits ( not included ) are to be installed in the quickly chucks , which are in turn mounted to the spindles of the machine. The quickly chuck accept drill bits with 10mm shanks. These boring bits will have a screw inside the shank. This machine requires drill bits which are standard color coded.
Page 13
Install drill bits 1. Make sure the two set screws on the chuck are backed out far enough for the bit to be inserted. Push the shanks of the drill bit into the knurled end of the chuck.. Make sure the flat of the boring bit shanks is toward the set screws.

Indexing Pin Figure A Figure B The two indexing pins (one is shown in A) are set at the same centerline as the spindles. They are useful for positioning your workpiece. For example, use them to find centerline so you’ll know how far to adjust the table. They can also be used to locate and center a pre-drilled hole, or to make a dimple in the workpiece for further alignment purposes.

Mounting the Main Fence Stopper Block Scale To mount the main fence to the machine, proceed as follows. (the main fence is the longest of the three extruded pieces) 1. Orient the fence so that the measuring scale is facing up 2.
Page 16
Fence Extensions Left and Right Fence Extensions are provided to support long workpieces. Check the sequence on the measuring scales to Connecting Block distinguish left and right hand pieces. 1. On the main fence, loosen the four set screws in the front connecting block and the rear connecting block with a 2.5mm hex wench.

FILTER / REGULATOR / LUBRICATOR COMBINATION UNIT (F.R.L.) Pressure setting : For performing drilling operations, the normal operation pressure indicated on the pressure gauge should be within the range of 5- 6 kg/cm. If the air pressure is insufficient, it can be adjusted by turning the pressure regulator knob until the normal pressure is obtained.
Page 18
BORING HEAD :90 DEGREE PIVOT To pivot the boring head form vertical position to horizontal position, proceed as follows: 1. Make sure the main fence has been Socket head moved back so that it cannot bind cap screw against the table when the boring head pivots upward Angle Pin 2.
Page 19
90-Degree Stop The 90-degree stop for the boring head has been factory set and should require no adjustment. As the machine receives extensive use, however you may wish to check this setting and if necessary adjust as follows 1. Open the front or rear door 2.
Page 20
Zero the Digital Readout Set Screw This procedure will set the digital readout so that it reads zero when the centerline of Colla the spindles is aligned with the table surface 1.With the boring head still in horizontal position, and the 10mm rods still in place on the spindles, lower the spindles with the crank handle until a 0.006”...
Page 21
Zero the Main Fence The main fence is used when the boring head is in vertical position. The following procedure will set the main fence so that it is in harmony with the centerline of the spindles. This setting will ensure that the holes in two mating workpieces (one bored in horizontal mode, the other in vertical Mode, the other in vertical mode) will align...
Page 22
Main Fence Movement The main fence can be adjusted forward or backward to suit the size of the workpiece 1. Loosen locking handle at both ends of the main fence 2. Move the fence forward or backward, making sure that the measurement on the bar scale B is the same on both ends of the fence 3.
Page 23
IDENTIFICATION BEFORE OPERATION 1. Connect the power source wires to the R.S.T. power connector on the machine. Make sure the voltage of power source is complied with that of the machine. 2. Make sure the machine is properly grounded. 3. Check if the drill depth is correctly adjusted. 4.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE The following should be done daily, when work is over. --- Clean the work table, removing shaving by suction or blowing. --- Use compressed air to blow away the dust which has deposited on. --- the protection frill of the motor or use a vacuum cleaner. --- Check the mains input cable for cuts or abrasions.

HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM YOUR MACHINE (1) When the various mechanical organs have been positioned, lock them with the appropriate locking systems. (2) Check that no mechanical organ interferes with the bits and the prearranged boring scheme. (3) The panel must move easily through the machine (4) These points from the basis of precise and regular boring.
