USING THE DEVICE

The EAL25 is built with a multi-setting lighting sequence, as well as red and flashing red color modes. Use the power button to turn on the area light, as well as cycle through low, medium, and high brightness settings, in that order. While the light is on, hold down the power button for three seconds to activate red mode. Once activated, use the power button to cycle between red and flashing red modes, as well as to shut off the EAL25.

POWERING THE DEVICE

The EAL25 is powered by three D alkaline batteries (not included). Monitor battery life with the Battery Life Indicator. While the Power Button glows green, the batteries retain sufficient charge for continued use. Once the power button turns red, it's time to change the batteries. When the power button begins to flash red, the batteries have reached their lowest power limits and must be changed immediately.

To change the batteries, rotate the base of the area light counterclockwise and open the battery compartment. Remove all three batteries, discard, and install three new size D batteries. Be sure the batteries are correctly oriented before replacing the battery compartment cover. For best performance, use COAST Industrial Performance D Batteries, available online at coastportland.com.

CARRYING AND HANGING THE PRODUCT

The EAL25 is equipped with a folding handle for area lighting on the move, as well as a pair of integrated carabiner hooks for two distinct hands-free applications. To hang the area light, raise the integrated carabiner hook that is built into the cap of the EAL25 and clip the carabiner hook onto an appropriate tether. Be sure the carabiner gate is closed before letting go. To use the EAL25 as an overhead light, first remove the polycarbonate diffuser by rotating the cap counterclockwise until it can be removed from the body of area light. A second integrated carabiner hook is built into the base of the EAL25. Raise the carabiner hook and clip it onto an overhead tether. As before, be sure the gate of the carabiner has closed before releasing the EAL25.

GO RECHARGEABLE

Designed with Alkaline-Dual Power Technology, the EAL25 can also be powered by a COAST ZITHION-X Rechargeable Battery (sold separately). To go rechargeable, replace all three alkaline batteries with one ZITHION-X rechargeable battery. Learn more about ZITHION-X rechargeable batteries online at coastportland.com.
