USING THE PRODUCT

WIDE ANGLE FLOOD BEAM
The CL40R is designed with COAST's Wide Angle Flood Beam featuring three brightness settings. Use the Power Button to turn on the CL40R, as well as cycle through low, medium, and high settings, in that order.

DIRECTING THE BEAM

The CL40R is mounted to the clamp on a swiveling ball, allowing for full 360-degree rotation of the Clamp Light. To adjust the direction of the beam, lift the Clamp Light from the stowed position. Swivel the Clamp Light until the Wide Angle Flood Beam is aimed in the desired direction. While the CL40R is in the stowed position, the clamp handles also function as a vertical stand for the Clamp Light.

MOUNTING THE DEVICE

The CL40R is equipped with a secure spring clamp for hands-free use. To mount the Clamp Light to an object using the clamp, grasp the clamp handles and squeeze them together to open the jaws. The clamp is tensioned by a pair of powerful steel springs, and it may require both hands to open. Once the jaws of the clamp are open, place them around a solid object and slowly release tension on the handles until the jaws have a firm grasp on the object. The primary contact points on the jaws are fitted with synthetic rubber pads, which should prevent the marring of most objects the clamp is affixed to.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

The CL40R is powered by an integrated COAST ZITHION Rechargeable Battery. To charge the battery, lift the port cover and plug the COAST USB-C Charging Cable (included) into the USB-C Power Input Port. Then plug in the charging cable at an available power source.
Monitor charging progress, as well as available power of the CL40R using the Battery Life Indicator, located on the back of the Clamp Light. While the CL40R is plugged into a power source, one of the four panels on the Battery Life Indicator will flash green indicating that the battery is actively charging and the current level of battery life. Each solid green panel on the Battery Life Indicator represents 25% of the available battery life. Once all four panels are solid green, the battery is fully charged. When the CL40R reaches its lowest power limits, the Wide Angle Flood Beam and the final power panel on the Battery Life Indicator will begin to flash, indicating that the battery must be charged immediately.

CONTINUOUS RUN

In addition to the ZITHION Rechargeable Battery, the CL40R can also be continuously run using standard AC/DC power. To continuously run the Clamp Light, plug the USB-C Cable (included) into the CL40R and plug the cable into an available power source, Then turn on the Clamp Light.
While in continuous run, the CL40R Clamp Light will operate at a single setting at a reduced level.
The Clamp Light will not charge while in continuous run mode. The light must be turned off and not in use in order to fully charge.

EXTERNAL PORTABLE CHARGING

The CL40R is equipped with a USB-A Power Output Port and can also function as a portable power bank for USB devices. To charge a USB device, plug the device's charging cable into the USB-A Power Output Port, located on the back of the Clamp Light. Then plug in the device. While the device is charging, the Battery Life Indicator on the CL40R will light up and remain illuminated.
Note: The CL40R does not need to be turned on to charge USB devices.

CAUTION

The CL40R is compatible with the integrated COAST ZITHION Rechargeable Battery only. Do not attempt to remove the Rechargeable Battery from the CL40R.
Never submerge the CL40R in any liquid.
