Lanyard Attachment Ring: A ring found on the rear of each module and on the display doors that attaches to a lanyard and prevents the module from falling. Latch Release: Releases the latch that holds the module firmly in the display.

  • Page 13 4� Verify that the lift eyes are installed and the lift eye bolts and set bolts are in place. Refer to Figure 8. Lift eye spacing is set at Daktronics and should not be moved without the Project Manager’s permission.

  • Page 16 Section Splicing Display Section Numbering For displays with multiple sections, each section is numbered for easy installation. For a two-section display, the bottom section is BX and the top section is TX. Refer to Figure 14. For four-section displays, when looking from the front, the lower-left display section is BL and the section to the right is BR;...
  • Page 17 5� Use the supplied splice wrench to align the display sections. Refer to Figure 18. a� Starting at one end of the display, insert the top lip of the splice wrench into the top section Section mounting channel. b� Rest the bottom lip of the splice wrench against Bottom Mounting the rear of the bottom section mounting channel.

  • Page 21 Standard 10-20' Adjustable-Length Webcam Arm Installation A 10-15' adjustable webcam arm is used on displays less than or equal to 15 modules high and less than or equal to 48 modules wide. A 20' adjustable webcam arm is used on displays less than or equal to 17 modules high and less than or equal to 50 modules wide.

  • Page 23 Failure to properly ground the display can result in display damage and may void warranties. Main Disconnect Daktronics requires using a power disconnect switch with the display. Use a disconnect so that all ungrounded conductors can be disconnected near the point of power connection.

  • Page 28 Remove Module From Spare Parts Enclosure 1� With one hand on the module face, insert the " hex head wrench into the top access hole. 2� Turn the latch release approximately a quarter- turn counterclockwise. You should feel the module release from the enclosure.

ISP Enclosure Access To access ISP enclosure components, follow these steps: 1� Open the rear access door with the Control Equipment label. Refer to Rear Access (p�7). 2� Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws securing the ISP doors and lift the doors up and away from the keyholes.
