This would actuate the pushbutton, thus creating a risk of burning the patient's oral mucosa. CAUTION!  Burning hazard at push button! Press the push button only when the instrument has come to a stop.

NOTICE!  Use only burrs that are sharp and undamaged. Use clean burrs to avoid dirt in the clamping system. CAUTION!  The handpiece must only be operated with the clamping system closed.

Turn the center part of the handpiece in the direction of the arrow (A) until it reaches the stop. If you are using a contra-angle handpiece burr instrument (C): insert the pin  (B) into the handpiece, slit end first.

CAUTION!  The handpiece may be operated only with the clamping system closed. Turn the center part of the handpiece in the direction of the arrow (A) until it reaches the stop. Insert the drive shaft of the disposable prophylaxis head into the handpiece until it reaches the stop.

Perform reprocessing immediately after treatment, after 1 hour at the latest. ü The burr instrument must not be moving. ü Wear appropriate protective clothing. These must be checked beforehand. NOTICE!  Never clean in an ultrasonic bath! CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Never immerse in disinfectants! CAUTION!  Risk of contamination! Use a soft, clean, and disinfected brush for thorough cleaning.

Use a soft, clean, and disinfected brush for thorough cleaning. Midwest Handpiece Cleaner Plus can be used to support the process.

For further details and instructions, refer to the operating instruction supplied with unit. If another system is used, the maintenance equipment must be approved by its manufacturer for the lubrication of dental handpieces.

Use only Midwest® Plus Spray. ü The spray adapter is disinfected. ü The O-ring on the spray adapter is intact. Fit the spray adapter onto the nozzle of the spray can. Insert the instrument until it snaps into place and hold it.

CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Make sure you observe the following intervals.

Spray the chuck for 1-2 seconds. IMPORTANT: Hold the spray can upright. Wipe away any spray that runs out with a clean, lint-free cloth.
