CHECKING AND TOPPING UP
DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE FLUID IN
THE ENVIRONMENT.
Proceed as follows:
◆
Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
◆
Unscrew and remove the filling plug (1).
Two reference elements indicating the
minimum and maximum level, ≈MIN∆ and
≈MAX∆, are provided inside the expan-
sion tank.
◆
Looking through the filling hole, make
sure that the coolant level is included be-
tween the ≈MIN∆ and ≈MAX∆ elements.

If neither element is covered by the cool-
ant, proceed as follows:
◆
Top up until the coolant level reaches
approximately the ≈MAX∆ element.
Do not exceed this level, otherwise the
coolant will flow out of the tank when the
engine is running.
◆
Screw the filling plug (1).

In case of excessive consump-
tion of coolant and in case the
expansion tank remains empty,
make sure that there are no leaks in the
circuit.
Have it repaired by an aprilia Official
Dealer.
