VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE
HEADLIGHT BEAM
This is a quick beam inspection procedure.
Place the motorcycle ten meters away from
a vertical wall. It is important that the
motorcycle be on level ground.
Switch on the low beam and sit astride the
motorcycle. The light spot on the wall
should be just below the horizontal line of
the headlight (about 9/10 of overall height)
To set beam height:
Open the glove compartment (1) and
unhook the side end-of-stroke rods by
gently pressing downwards.
USA
2
Use a screwdriver to turn the lower
adjusting screws (2) on both lights:
turn CLOCKWISE to lower the beam;
turn COUNTERCLOCKWISE to raise
the beam.
CAUTION
Do not unscrew the vertical adjusting
screw (to lower the beam) more than 0.6
in. (15 mm) measured starting from the
screw head to the headlight body.
Once the beam has been adjusted:
CAUTION
Check the correct orientation of the
beam.
