  • Page 6 5. ADJUSTMENT OF SWR (standing wave ratio) WARNING: This process must be carried out when you use your radio for the first time (and whenever you re-position your antenna). The adjustment must be carried out in an obstacle-free area. Adjustment with a built-in SWR meter or external SWR meter a) To connect the SWR meter Connect the SWR meter between the radio and the antenna as close as possible to the radio (use a maximum of 40cm cable).
  • Page 7 Rotate clockwise to switch on the radio and set the desired volume level. Under normal 1.OFF/ON/VOLUME operating state, the VOLUME control is used to adjust the output volume obtained either by (Inner Dual Concentric) the transceiver speaker, or the external speaker, or the external PA speaker, if used. Please read the following instructions before making any desired amendments. To enter the Function Menu: under ON state, press and hold the FUNC key for more than 2 seconds, and then release the FUNC key to enter the Function Menu Setup.
