  • Page 6 To recharge the battery Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the right side of the label maker. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer or into a USB-C 5V wall charger (not included, see Figure 1 Figure 1).
  • Page 7 To insert the tape cassette Lift the bottom cover of the label maker. Make sure the tape and ribbon are taut Ribbon across the mouth of the cassette and that rewind spool the tape passes between the label guides. Label guides If necessary, turn the ribbon rewind spool clockwise to tighten the ribbon.

  • Page 9 LCD Display With DYMO’s exclusive graphical display, most of the formatting you add is visible instantly. Feature indicators along the top and bottom of the display show when certain features are enabled, connection and battery status, tape width and label length, and display zoom.

When you add a line of text and the text size is too big, the text size will automatically change to the size that best fits the label. Select Border fit, select Fit to text or Fit to label and press Select Border style, select the border style you want to use and press When using borders on multi-line labels, all lines are enclosed in one border. Aligning the Text You can align the text to print left or right justified, or centered on the label.
  • Page 13 Adding Symbols The label maker supports an extended symbol set. While scrolling through the symbols, press to enlarge a symbol for easier viewing. From the Symbol history setting, you can choose to always jump to the last symbol used when you press or always show the first symbol in the table.
  • Page 14 Inserting a Barcode The following barcode types can be inserted on the label. EAN 13 UPC-E1 EAN 8 Code 128B UPC-A Code 39 UPC-E0 Code 39 EXT QR codes can be created and printed using the LabelManager Connect mobile app or the DYMO Desktop software. Only one barcode object can be inserted on a label.
  • Page 15 The auto-number object is inserted on the label as a single object similar to clip art. When the object is selected on the label, the cursor turns into a box shape. Once the auto-number object is inserted on the label, you can change the values. To change the auto-number values Navigate to the auto-number object on the label until the box cursor appears.
  • Page 16 Printing Options You can print multiple copies, print the text as a mirror image, and cut any excess tape from the label exit slot. Printing Multiple Labels You can print up to twenty copies of a label. To print multiple labels Press at the same time.
  • Page 17 To save the current label Press The list of saved labels is displayed. Select a location and press A field is displayed to name the label. Enter a name for the label and press Your label is saved and you are returned to the label. Opening Saved Labels You can easily open labels that are saved in memory.
  • Page 18 Menu Submenu Description Energy Display brightness Controls the brightness of the display’s backlight. Auto shut-off time Sets the time before the label maker automatically turns off the power. The default is 2 minutes. Print contrast Controls the density of the print on the label. This setting offers a sustainable way to reduce energy consumption while printing.
  • Page 19 To print labels From your mobile device’s app store, search for LabelManager Connect. On your mobile device, turn on the Bluetooth and Location Services settings and make sure you are within range (approximately 10 meters). Location services is required for the Bluetooth connection to operate properly. DYMO does not track or store your location.
