Purpose
This document outlines the motor set up for AMS automated boat shade, new motor set-up.

Moving parts can pinch, crush, or cut. Keep body parts clear at all times.
Resources Required
• Wand provided with shade
• Tape measure
• Phillips screwdriver
Procedure
1.
Insert wand as shown in (Fig. 1).
2.
While pressing the extend button, rotate the wand to the position (+) sign until the keder welt track
rotates seven times.
3.
On the seventh rotation, stop the keder welt track on the top of tube, so that the canvas welt can slide
into place.

  • Page 2 AMS AUTOMATED BOAT SHADE NEW MOTOR SET-UP MARINE Slide the canvas into the keder welt track from the pull pin side of the roller tube. Repeat the same process for the fascia side. Measure the distance of the canvas on each side of the roller tube, they must be even. Repeat the same process for the fascia side.

While holding the retract button, rotate the wand towards the negative (-) sign (Fig. 4) rapidly until the shade stops and proceed to the next step. Fig. 4 Fig. 5 13. While holding the retract button, rotate the wand toward the positive (+) sign (Fig. 6) until you reach the desired stop location.
