  • Page 32 Enabling HP Easy Clean (select products only) HP Easy Clean helps you to avoid accidental input while you clean the computer surfaces. This software disables devices such as the keyboard, touch screen, and touchpad for a preset amount of time so that you can clean all computer surfaces.

  • Page 38 Remove the bottom cover: Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 6.0 screws from the bottom cover. Starting between the hinges, use a plastic tool (1) to release the bottom cover (2) from the computer, and then remove the cover (3). To install the bottom cover, reverse the removal procedures.

To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP. IMPORTANT: Removing a battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause loss of information.

Remove the five Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (3) that secure the battery to the computer. Remove the battery from the computer (4).
  • Page 41 To remove the battery bracket, remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (1) from the bracket, and then remove the bracket (2). The battery bracket is used on models with a smaller 3-cell battery. To install the battery, reverse the removal procedures. NOTE: When connecting the antenna cables, be sure to match the number or letter on the cable with the appropriate connector on the module. If the WLAN antenna is not connected to the terminal on the WLAN module, you must install a protective sleeve on the antenna connector, as shown in the following illustration.

Insert a tool (1) under the top of the panel and release it just enough to grasp the tape that secures the panel to the cover.

You must pull the tape multiple times before it is completely removed. Rotate the display panel over and place it next to the display enclosure.
