Purpose & Scope

This document will demonstrate the regularly required and preventative calibration maintenance procedure.

Application

Calibration of the unit is always performed before shipment. Sometimes during transit or after a long period of use, however, the calibration of the sensors might be altered. These conditions can lead to a higher rate of false rejects.

Requirements

No tools required.

Procedure

1. Ensure the machine is plugged in.
2. Press and hold the DOWN ARROW button, then press the POWER button while still holding the DOWN ARROW button, until the calibration screen appears.
   

3. Follow the instructions displayed at the bottom of the screen, by first moving the lid upwards slowly. The unit will then provide instructions to move the lid upwards and downwards until the lid is in a precise position. Note: If you lift or lower the lid too quickly and pass that position, the unit will instruct you to lower or lift the lid again. It is helpful to move the lid in very small increments so that you minimize the number of lift-lower cycles. It is possible, if done carefully, to complete this step in one upward or downward movement.
   

4. Once the calibration is completed the you will be prompted to Exit.
   

5. Exit by pressing the BACK button and the unit will automatically restart with the new calibration.
