Key functions On / Off V Test – it allows to program voltage tests Timer – it allows to program the test duration LIM – it allows to program the limit of the “Pass- Fail test” These keys (decrease or increase) allowing the selection of the value that is being programmed It displays the calculated value as the result of Polarization Index. -

Charging the battery To recharge the battery: • Check if the MD-1000R is turned OFF. Connect the equipment to the mains using the external • power supply. The battery led ] will keep on lightning with a red light up to completing the charge. At that point, it will change to a green light, being like this up to the equipment disconnection from the mains supply. -

Setting the equipment Test voltage To select the test voltage: 1- Press the key A. 2- Press the key B or C, the selected test voltage will be indicated by the leds P Q R. 3- After 5 seconds without pressing the keys BC, the equipment turn into safety mode. -

This instrument measure voltages from 0 up to 600V. 1- Connect the test leads to the circuit. 2- Turn ON the MD-1000R by pressing the key L, the equipment starts on voltmeter function. If the MD-1000R is already ON, press the key G. -

Polarization index (PI) The key J makes it possible to visualize the PI value on the display. For this type of tests, the megohmmeter must be connected and apply voltage to the sample for 10 min. After this period, the operator must press the key J to display the PI value on the megohmmeter display. -
