2.2.2 Physical Requirements
The components of the test system can be bench or rack mounted. Rack mounting hardware is
included for standard 3.5-inch high by 19-inch wide RETMA rack mounting.
The system components are cooled by convection air currents. Ensure there is adequate space
around each component to allow for heat ventilation.
• Floor loading weight of the Keysight 33509B waveform generator is approximately 7.5
pounds.
• Floor loading weight of the Keysight 34465A digital multimeter is approximately 8.3
pounds.
2.3 Unpacking
Before shipment, the units were free of electrical and mechanical defects. Original documenta-
tion for the waveform generator and digital multimeter is packed with the test equipment in the
original manufacturer's shipping containers.
2.3.1 Shipping Container
Immediately upon receipt, inspect the shipping container for evidence of mishandling during
transit. If the shipping container has been damaged in any way, have the carrier's agent present
when the equipment is unpacked.
If the equipment is damaged, file a claim with the carrier and forward a copy to Precision
Filters. Retain the shipping container and packing material for the carrier's inspection or for
reuse.
2.3.2 Test Equipment Inspection
Make a visual check of the test equipment to ensure that there are no broken controls, handles,
or connectors and that panel surfaces are free of dents and scratches.
