Corrective action
Position the camera more than 0.2 m/0.7 ft. from
the subject and take the picture. To take pictures
closer than 0.2 m/0.7 ft., use the super macro
mode.
Use manual focus or focus lock to focus on the
subject and then shoot.
Turn the AF illuminator on.
Wait until the camera dries before turning it on
again.
Operate the camera (press the shutter button or
the zoom lever).
If All Reset in the SETUP tab of the mode menu is
set to OFF, the camera settings before the power
was turned off remain unchanged. Turn on the
monitor, and turn off the power.
Select a flash mode other than flash off.
If you want the flash to fire on a brightly
illuminated subject, set the flash to fill-in mode.
The flash does not fire in the sequential shooting
mode.
Set o in the DRIVE menu.
The flash does not fire in the movie mode. Set a
different shooting mode.
The flash does not fire in the BLACK/WHITE
BOARD mode.
The flash does not fire in the super macro mode.
Set the super macro mode to OFF.
The flash does not fire in the panorama mode.
Cancel the panorama mode.
