Ambient Light Sensor - Detects the ambient light level
A
in the room and adjusts the brightness of the button
and dimming LEDs. The ambient light sensor is enabled/
disabled from the Lighting and Shade manager in Blueprint.
Dimming Level Indicators - The LED Array on the front
panel can indicate any of the following:
– The LEDs turn on from left to right as the dimmer level
increases and switch off from right to left as the dimmer
level decreases.

– The amount of power applied to the load for any scenes
created in Blueprint or the Savant app.
– The status of the keypad during the setup and
provisioning process. See the
Reset Button
(Press and release) -
Clear the configuration programmed in the keypad and
remove Switch Mode (when applicable.)
Force the keypad to determine and configure control
parameters for no neutral operation (when applicable.)
If in RAD (Roaming Assisted Discovery)
– Primary: Sends "End RAD" message and restarts all
active RAD devices.
– Subordinate Broadcast: Ceases broadcasting RAD
messaging and restarts device.

– Subordinate: Ceases RAD discovery and restarts
device.

sequences, refer to the Roaming Assisted Discovery
(RAD) Wireless Provisioning Guide.
TIP:
Press and release the reset button after installing,
moving, or changing any load wired to the keypad. In some
cases, pressing and releasing the reset button will fix issues
such as flickering or when the load not performing optimally.
Press and hold - Press and hold for 5 seconds, then release to
perform a factory reset. A factory reset erases the keypad's
stored address.

Deployment Guide for instructions on how to program. This

Button LEDs - When configured and bound to a Savant
system, the LED's state gets defined by the selection made

in the LED Behavior and LED Color fields from within the
Lighting and Shade Manager.

Not supported as a BLE Gateway.

  • Page 2 Rear Panel (All Echo and Metropolitan Style Low Voltage Keypads) The keypad’s rear includes a 5-pin keypad bus connection that accepts the supplied keypad pigtail cable. The connector is keyed, so the cable can’t be plugged backwards. Use wire-nuts or an approved alternative when making the connections. The SKL-3040 supports up to 10 keypads per keypad bus and a maximum of 40 keypads per controller.
  • Page 3 This section covers the wired connection, and the next section covers wireless. HELPFUL INFORMATION! During the setup process, or if the keypad is not functioning in a Savant system, the LED array on the keypad’s front panel are programmed to blink specific sequences to indicate the keypad’s state. To find the keypad’s state, press any button on the keypad, and the dimming LEDs will begin blinking one of the sequences shown below.
