Gently lay the computer on its side as shown in the next step.

Remove the two Phillips-head screws from the upper corners of the base
and put them where you will be able to Þnd them later.
These Phillips-head screws are for the base only; donÕt use the Phillips screws for the
cover, or the thumb screw for the base.

Remove the base and set it aside.
