    2 — Safety Precautions Safety Precautions The following Safety Precautions must be observed when operating or servicing the AMSCO® Flexmatic® Scrub Station. CAUTION indicates the potential for damage to equipment. For emphasis, certain Safety Precautions are repeated throughout the manual. It is important to review ALL Safety Precautions before operating or servicing the unit. WARNING EYE INJURY HAZARD Use cold water only with eyewash fixture.

    The clearance space shown on the equipment drawing is required for proper installation, operation and maintenance of the scrub station. If any of these documents are missing or misplaced, contact STERIS, giving the serial and model numbers of the equipment. Replacement copies will be sent to you promptly.

    1. Refer to the dimensions shown in the equipment drawing and, using the two support brackets (provided by STERIS) as templates, mark the location of the mounting holes on the wall. Secure the two brackets to the wall. (Fasteners are not provided by STERIS due to various wall constructions.) Verify brackets are level.

    4 — Installation d. Place knee panel aside where it is safe from damage. e. Pass 120 V, 60 Hz, 1-phase electric supply line (wiring and conduit not provided or installed by STERIS) through back of scrub station. f. Remove two screws securing cover on junction box at left end of scrub station.

    5 — Operating Instructions Operating Instructions 5.1 Check Soap Container 1. Press latch block at bottom center of soap knee panel and lift up knee panel. 2. Inspect soap container. 3. If container needs to be replaced, proceed as follows: a.

    5 — Operating Instructions 5.2 Dispensing Soap Press then release foot pedal or optional soap knee panel to dispense soap. The soap pump is set to dispense approximately 1.5 cc of soap each time it is actuated (see Figure 5-2). Figure 5-2.

    6 — Cleaning The Equipment 6.4 Maintenance of Wall-Mounted Soap Dispenser CAUTION POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE ● Do not autoclave. Alcohol solutions may damage the dispenser. ● Do not attempt to disassemble the dispenser metering valve itself. Assembly of the valve unit requires factory equipment.

    When ordering replacement parts, please include the part numbers and descriptions listed subsequently. The quantities are those STERIS recommends the facility should keep on hand to meet minor maintenance needs for a single station. To hasten service, include on the order the model, unit and serial numbers of the equipment.
