The MSA Altair 4 Gas Monitor.

THESE SIMPLIFIED INSTRUCTIONS ARE DESIGNED TO

FACILITATE CALIBRATION OF THE GAS MONITOR. THEY DO NOT

REPLACE THE CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS AS ISSUED BY THE

MANUFACTURER, WHICH SHOULD ALWAYS BE READ BEFORE

THE INSTRUMENT IS CALIBRATED. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE

DESINGED TO PROVIDE AN EASY AND QUICK GUIDE TO

COMPLIMENT YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE MANUFACTURER S

1. Calibration.

a. To complete a full sensor calibration the following equipment is

required :-

Multi-mix Gas

Cylinder of

H2S,CO,CH4, &O2

Enter into calibration mode by pressing and holding the up arrow button until

the display asks for a zero operation to be completed..

CALIBRATION MANUAL.

Enforcer

Cylinder of Multimix Gas containing Methane

(29% LEL), H2S ( 20ppm ) CO ( 60ppm), 15% Vol.

O2 and balance N2
