The grounding cable and neutral cable must comply with the local and national codes of practice. Before moving or reconnecting the cables, ensure that all input power sources are cut off, and wait at least 10 minutes for internal discharge.

WHEN CONNECTED, THE BATTERY TERMINAL VOLTAGE WILL EXCEED 400 Vdc AND IS POTENTIALLY FATAL. Battery manufacturers supply details of the necessary precautions to be observed when working on, or near, a large bank of battery cells.

Installation & User Manual If a battery leaks electrolyte, or is otherwise physically damaged, it must be replaced, stored in a container resistant to sulfuric acid, and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If electrolytes meet the skin, the affected area should be washed immediately with water.
Introduction This chapter introduces the relevant requirements for positioning and wiring of the modular UPS AEG Protect Plus M400 and related equipment. Since each site has its own requirements, it is not the aim of this chapter to provide step-by-step installation instructions, but to act as a guide for the general procedures and practices that should be observed by the installing engineer.
Installation & User Manual Initial Check Perform the following checking operations prior to UPS installation. Visually examine if any damage has been done to the interior and exterior of the UPS rack or battery equipment because of transport. Report any such damage to the shipper immediately.
Installation & User Manual 1.3.3 Storing Should the equipment not be installed immediately, it must be stored in an indoor location to protect it from excessive humidity and heat (see Technical Data sheet). The battery needs to be stored in a cool and dry place with good ventilation.

When laying the power cables, do not form coils, to avoid the formation of electromagnetic interference.

Installation & User Manual WARNING Battery Handling When connecting the battery, follow the precautions for high- voltage operation: Before accepting and using the battery, check the appearance of the battery. If the package is damaged; if the battery terminal is dirty, corroded or rusted; or if the case is broken, deformed or has leakages, replace it with a new product.
To Install Lithium Batteries, PLEASE CONTACT AEG. Between 32 and 44 batteries per string (even numbers) can be installed in a conventional battery cabinet (external).

For single UPS installation, the EPO button on the front panel of the bypass module controls the emergency stop of the UPS modules and bypass static switch and supports remote emergency power off function that can be used to shut down the UPS remotely.
