SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS TO THE MACHINE OPERATOR The blade on this machine runs at a very high speed! You must read and understand all operating, safety, and applications information before attempting to use this machine. 1. The machine is provided with two vises to enable you to clamp the work on both sides of the blade.
You will probably find it most convenient to completely remove it during setup and reinstall it after you have power and air to the machine and you can use the push button controls to move the sawframe. Checklist of items CT 350 A-NC Machine Operators manual Wrenches 1 Sawblade...

Reposition Operator Console Next you will need to unlock the sawframe and move the operator console from the secured shipping position to the operator ready position. The photos at right Please note the photos at right, which will enable you to most easily set up your machine. Remove all wrapping around machine.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Only a qualified electrician should do electrical connections! It is recommended that the machine is on a circuit that is properly fused, and the machine must be properly grounded to comply with OSHA and state electrical codes. If your machine is installed in an area subject to voltage spikes or high variations you will need to install a Line Reactor or the appropriate rating.
AIR CONNECTION AIR CONNECTION Connect air line to connector at rear of machine as shown: Note: Shop air should be between 80-110 PSI. Air volume required, approx. 6 cfm. See maintenance section for proper service of machine pneumatics. FURTHER SUGGESTIONS: Your air supply will certainly contain some moisture, which is unavoidable in any plant air supply.

Pneumatic & Hydraulic Controls Operator controls found on machine base are as follows: 1. Variable vise clamp pressure regulator for feeder vise (pneumatic, with gauge) -Should be set with just enough pressure to enable your material to be transported by barfeed 2.
Coolant Valve Locate aluminum spray mist coolant valve at side of blade guard. Adjustment knob allow s the amount of coolant /air flow desired. Note: At initial startup it will take some time for the coolant to get from the reservoir to the valve.
BLADE INSTALLATION Please refer to the section on APPLICATIONS to select proper blade. -Loosen the socket head cap screw on the LH side of the blade guard. This will allow the inner portion of the guard to swivel out of the way. -Insert the 6mm pin provided into the hole under the spindle housing and rotate spindle until it locks.
Semi-Automatic Operation Setting Saw Vises -Push Vise Unclamp button -Loosen bolts (one on each cylinder) and slide vise cylinder body until it is wide enough open to insert your material. -Place material in vise, close vise spindle to about 1/8” from workpiece, and lock adjustable handle. -Push Vise Clamp button to clamp material in vise If clamping thin tubing and you wish to reduce clamping pressure, you may now adjust clamping pressure...

Chip Vac Controls Your machine has been factory preset that the coolant will automatically come on during a sawing cycle, and automatically shut off at the end of a cycle. Therefore you only need to adjust coolant flow with adjustable valve on blade guard. This automatic setting may be changed as desired.
Fully Automatic Setup Prior to starting calibration procedure: -Make sure material is not clamped in saw vise or feeder vise To calibrate feeder, proceed in one of two ways: Setting Feeder Vise The barfeed vise is mounted on a floating slideway to prevent crooked material from binding between the main saw vise and the feeder vise.

Do not turn off power during Saving Data procedure. Improper grounding of machine, causing stray electromagnetic signals to machine control may also cause machine to lose programming and/or damage control unit. LOOP function The LOOP function is designed to optimize your bar stock and minimize waste. For example, you may set up a job that requires 48”...
Naming Your Program To change the name of program, scroll to program name. You will see cursor at right of this field. (1) Push keypad arrow (2) to position desired, and change number as desired. To change to Alpha name (for example, XYZ): Push arrow (2) until cursor is in far left position Push F5 to select the group of letters containing “X”...

43. Hydro tank empty. This means the pneumatic system does not detect air pressure. Check to see that your machine is connected to air supply. If air is connected and you can see it on the pressure gauge, check the pressure detector on pneumatic manifold. On the bottom of the pneumatic manifold is a pressure switch, with two wires connected to it.

-something has caused the machine to take too long to cut a piece of material. Machine will shut off after a specified period of time, telling you that there is a problem. Maybe the blade is too dull to cut, maybe something has prevented sawframe from completing a sawing cycle. Stop machine, check conditions, and restart.
