reference and the packaging in case shipping is necessary.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
To help ensure safe use, please read and fully understand this manual
and all safety messages before operation! This manual follows
guidance set forth in the following industry standards: ANSI Z535.6,
ASTM F760-93, ASTM F1827-13, and the FDA Food Code.
Illustrations and specifications are not binding in detail. Stoelting
Foodservice Equipment reserves the right to make changes to the
unit without notice, and without incurring any obligation to modify or
provide new parts for units built prior to date of change.

result in minor or moderate injury.

NOTICE: addresses practices not related to physical injury.
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the unit:
• Use only properly grounded electrical outlets matching the nameplate-
rated voltage.
• Installation must be completed by a qualified person in accordance
with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), local codes, and
ordinances.
• Use equipment in a level position.
• Do not use an extension cord with this equipment. Do not plug this
equipment into a power strip or multi-outlet power cord.
• Unplug equipment and turn off before cleaning, moving, and servicing.
• Do not spray controls or outside of unit with liquids or cleaners.
• Use only non-abrasive materials other than steel wool for cleaning.
• Keep equipment and power cord away from open flames, electric
burners and excessive heat.
• Operate away from the public and children while attending unit.
• Only operate if functioning properly and undamaged.
• If the blender has a sudden power failure, please unplug the power
supply to prevent the equipment from starting suddenly.
FUNCTION AND PURPOSE
These units are designed to blend solid or flavor add-ins to soft-serve
or dipped ice cream, ice milk, yogurt, custard, or similar non-dairy
products to create delicious frozen treats.
The direct-drive design provides quiet, trouble-free operation. The
unique Mixing Head efficiently blends rapidly and gently to reduce
melting and breakdown of product. This blender is the superior choice
for mixing malts, shakes, frappes, smoothies, and freezes.
UNPACKING THE UNIT
1. Remove packing material, tape, and protective plastic; dispose
of in an environmentally-responsible way.
2. Clean any glue residue left over from the plastic or tape.
3. Follow instructions on pg 2 for Cleaning and Sanitizing.

INSTALLATION & ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS
1. Only use Stoelting Mix-In Blenders in accordance with
procedures in this manual.
2. Units are equipped with a grounded, three (3)-prong
electrical plug. DO NOT remove the grounding prong. If the
electrical outlets in your location do not accept the 3-prong
plug, an electrician must change the receptacle.
3. Blenders with a foot switch are specifically designed for
use only with the Stoelting Mix-In Blender and should not
be used for any other purpose. Safe, reliable operation
depends upon keeping the switch DRY and CLEAN; failure
to do so voids the warranty.
4. Units have a very powerful, high-torque motor that rotates
the Mixing Head and Shaft at a very high speed. DO NOT
TOUCH THE SHAFT OR MIXING HEAD.
5. DO NOT allow objects such as clothing, cloths, fingers, or
jewelry to contact rotating parts. Personal injury or damage
to the unit could occur. Always disconnect electrical power
before cleaning, maintaining, or moving the unit.
6. Unit is fuse protected. For fuse replacement, use only
BLNDR-120FP & BLNDR-120—BUSS AGC 5 Amp, 250-VOLT
BLNDR-230FP & BLNDR-230—BUSS AGC 3 Amp, 250-VOLT
NOTICE: fuse substitution with a "slow blow" or other
fuse could cause damage and void the warranty.
7. The unit is not designed to chop/grind candy, cookies, or
hard ingredients; this use could cause damage or injury.
8. Only operate the unit with the Splash Guard in place.
9. Adjustments and maintenance should be completed by a
qualified person, only when the unit is unplugged.
10. Stoelting Mix-In Blenders must be installed to allow the
operator access to the electrical supply plug.
11. Unplug unit and regularly inspect Mixing Head for sharp
edges and wear; replace as needed.
12. Do not use harsh cleaners or abrasive materials for cleaning;
these will damage the surface finish.
