Manually keying a talk-
group
The contact is defined in the
contact list but not defined in
the zone/channel
1. From the radio menu go into
(SELECT) contacts:
2. SELECT "Contact List"
3. Scroll down to HIGHLIGHT
the contact you want but
DON'T press SELECT instead
press the "PTT" button on your
mic to talk. The radio will TX
on that talk-group it will NOT
change the radio menu to this
talk-group. If you want to hear
the response your radio will
need to be in promiscuous
mode.
The talk-group is not
predefined in the contact list.

3. From the mic keypad enter
the talk-group number that you
want.
4. Press the "PTT" button on
your mic to talk. The radio will
TX on that talk-group it will
NOT change the radio menu to
this talk-group. If you want to
hear the response your radio
will need to be in promiscuous
mode.
Manually enter a calling or
repeater frequency.
• Entering VFO mode.
1. First thing, you
need enter:
MENU -->
LOCAL SET -->
DISPLAYMODE
--> VFO MODE
and enable the
VFO mode. You
can now, enter
the freq via the
keypad or use the
rotary know to
adjust.
2. Rotary the knob
to select analog.
and edit the
receive and
transmit
frequency.
For example,
local repeater
downlink
frequency:
439.4000Mhz.
transmit CTCSS
tone: 108.8Khz.
On the TxSub
Type and RxSub
Type, select
CTCSS and then
choose its value.
Next you can
save to a select
channel to get a
new channel.
Volume adjustment.
• Set Volume: Press Vol on
top of radio, use rotary
button to change (value
is shown on display).
• When You have set the
volume, push and hold
the A/B button for 4-5
sec. The display will
"blink" and then store
the volume setting.
