MANUAL UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE MANUAL FIRST. There are two levels of users of the MQC 600 Single/Flex, based on the amount and type of training the user has received. The two levels of users (operators and certi ed service personnel), are described below.
Safety Symbols and De nitions The following are safety symbols that are common to 3D Systems guides. Some or all of these symbols may appear in this guide and/or in other MQC 600 Single/Flex documentation.
Operating equipment without all safety switches enabled can cause equipment damage, injury, or death. If you suspect a safety interlock device is not working properly, do not operate your MQC equipment. ® Follow any applicable local regulations. All materials certi ed by 3D Systems are safe during normal operation. However, you should be aware of the following issues: Any material, material-like substance, or airborne cloud of material has a remote chance of rapid combustion.
Refer to each material’s SDS for speci c information. CAUTION: The operator must use an approved vacuum cleaner to clean up excess material. 3D Systems recommends an ESD or explosion-proof model. Contact 3D Systems Customer Service for purchasing options.
Chemtrec (U.S.) Material Handling Precautions During normal operation of the MQC system using 3D Systems’ materials, you are not required to wear a dust mask or special personal protection equipment unless speci cally designated. Check the SDS of the material used for the speci c precautions you should observe.

They are responsible for delivering material to the printer, storing and mixing fresh and recycled material, and breaking out the SLS parts from the print cake that is produced by the printer.

They mix fresh, blended, and recycled powder to supply the printer with print material. The printer will communicate with the MQC to request more powder, as needed. The following sections will tell you how to load fresh material, blend material, and break out parts from the print cake.
