Ш ANTENNA LOCATION
Transceiver performance largely depends on the quality of the
antenna used. Select a high-quality antenna and use it as recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
Use a large diameter bO ohm coaxial cable. The added efficiency of
the larger cable is important in the VHF spectrum to reduce cable
loss.

e Drill a hole in the roof, or use a magnetic antenna base.
A high-quality electret condenser microphone is supplied with the
IC-28H. Plug it directly into the jack on the front panel of the
transceiver.
Optional microphones are available for mobile use with the 1С-28Н.
