9. Remove the protective cap from the port for fixing
the safety valve (Fig. 4, Pos. 1).
10. Clean the inside thread of the port (Fig. 4, Pos. 1)
for fixing the safety valve using a soft cloth.
11. Place the safety valve inside the port and tighten
using a torque of 12 N-m to 14 N-m.
12. Switch on the NTI 101 and wait till the nitrogen
tank pressure reaches 4 bar or above.
13. Check for leakage using soap solution. If there is
no leakage, the safety valve is fixed to the nitrogen
tank.

1. Open the front door of the NTI 101.
2. Fasten the 3/2 solenoid valve (Fig. 4, Pos. 1) to the
cabinet.
DANGER: Risk of electric shock from live
parts
Contact with the live terminals will lead
to electric shocks, heart failure and fatal
injury.
¶
Do not connect the power cord to the
mains supply till all the electrical connec-
tions are complete.
¶
Electrical connections should only be
performed by qualified electricians or
authorized personnel under the supervi-
sion of a qualified electrician.
¶
Cover or cordon off live parts.
3. Open the protective guard covering the electrical
components on the rear of the door.
i
Refer to the electrical and pneumatic diagrams to
execute the following steps.
!
Do not place the vacuum pump on the cabinet of the
NTI 101. Ensure that the vacuum pump is placed on
a flat, vibration-free surface.
DANGER: Risk of injury due to tripping
Improper placement of the vacuum pump
may lead to tripping and injury.
¶
Place the vacuum pump in a position
where there is no risk of injury to person-
nel.
DANGER: Risk of fire due to spillage of
vacuum pump oil.
Spillage of vacuum pump oil into electrical
terminals may lead to fire.
¶
Ensure that the vacuum pump oil does
not spill into electrical terminals (for ex.,
electrical terminals of extension boxes).
4. Place the vacuum pump at a convenient distance
from the NTI 101.
5. Open the blanking plugs for the slots (Fig. 4, Pos. 2)
6. Connect the wiring harness from the connector X12
of the main board to the vacuum pump. Route the
wiring harness through the slot on the cabinet.
7. Close the protective guard.
8. Connect the wiring harness from the solenoid valve
to pin 1 on terminal block 2.
9. Connect the hose from the inlet of the vacuum pump
to the outlet of the 3/2 solenoid valve. Route the
hose through the slot on the cabinet.
10. Connect the hose from the output of manifold valve
to the inlet of the 3/2 solenoid valve.
