3. SSD7749M2 Installation Instructions Use a wired ESD wrist strap that is properly grounded. Unpack and remove the SSD7749M2 and check it for damage. If it appears damaged, please contact HighPoint Technical Support. Apply pressure at the mark to release the lock, and turn it counter-clockwise. - Page 8 SSD7749M2 NVMe RAID AIC User Guide Rotate the rubber to secure the SSD. After installing all SSDs, carefully insert the NVMe SSD trays into the slots. Port 1 Port 16 Note: Ensure the NVMe SSD tray is carefully but securely mounted to each port. Loose connections can cause various stability and performance issues and may ultimately result in data loss.
- Page 9 Note: Ensure the aluminum cover is aligned correctly with the AIC board (PCB) and it makes complete contact with the thermal pad before refastening it to the SSD7749M2. If the cover is improperly installed, the fan and thermal pad will not sufficiently cool the NVMe SSDs and AIC componentry, which may damage the SSDs or AIC hardware, performance loss, unstable I/O, and data loss.
