KARAOKE MIXING
You can sing to a music source by connecting a microphone to the
unit.
Use a microphone with a mini (03.5 mm/ 1/8in.) plug.

Connect your microphone to the MIC 1 or MIC 2
jack.
You can connect up to two microphones for a duet.
Press one of the function buttons to select the
source to be mixed, and play it.
Adjust the volume and tone of the source.
Adjust the microphone volume.

Follow the procedure of recording from each source.
When not using the microphone
Set the MIC MIXING control to MIN and remove the microphone
from the MIC jack.
If the microphone is set too near the speaker, a howling sound
may be produced. In this case, move the microphone away from
the speaker or decrease the sound level by using the MIC
MIXING control.
If sound through the microphone is extremely loud, it may be
distorted. In this case, turn the MIC MIXING control toward MIN.
Recommended
microphone
The use of a unidirectional type microphone is recommended to
prevent howling.
Aiwa optional unidirectional microphone:
DM-H18, DM-H15, etc.
USEFUL FUNCTIONS FOR KARAOKE
This unit enables CDs or tapes to be used for Karaoke sources.
According to the source, select a function as follows.
When using ordinary CDs or tapes,
use the VOCAL FADER
function.
When using multi audio discs or tapes, use the MULTIPLEX
function.
Each time the KARAOKE button is pressed, these functions
change.
