For slow speed on main Nova
1. Check the Internet Seed Through Your Nova:
First, ensure that you have properly tested the internet speed and understand the results by following this FAQ:
How Do I Test the Speed of my Nova Network?
2. Check the Speed From Your ISP:
Temporarily unplug the main Nova from your modem or Gateway. Then connect a laptop or PC directly to the ISP
Gateway/Modem and Perform a Speed Test. The speed test should report speeds similar to what you expect from
your ISP based on your Plan.
Slow Ethernet Speed
1. Replace the Ethernet cables between the ISP modem, main Nova, and laptop with new cables rated as
CAT5E or above, then test the speed on the laptop again.
2. Set a node Nova as The Main Nova: Try using a Different Nova from your Network as the Main Nova to test.
Slow Wireless Speed:
1. Go to My wifi> Tap your client(s)> Speed limit. Make sure there is no limit set up on the client device.
2. Turn off the UPNP feature in the Tenda WiFi App Under: Settings > Advanced > UPNP
3. Try different speed test servers or platforms to compare since some specific servers cannot reach the full
speed for wireless tests.
4. Download a Wi-Fi analyzer tool on your phone to check wireless channel interference. Crowded Wi-Fi
channels will cause a severe decrease in performance.
