The hand tool has been designed to apply connectors according to the TE specification 114-106266 with wires using Insulation Displacement Technique. It is only permitted to use the Hand tool for SGI2.0 only for repair proposes or preparation of samples. Do not use it for serial production. -

Hand tool SGI2.0 7 Operation To setup this Hand tool is necessary to follow the following steps: 7.1 Steps in Operation 1. Assembly Tools 1.1 As shown in Figure-3 below, takes out the Base from the Case and lock the Rod on the Base. - Page 13 Hand tool SGI2.0 2. Keep the handle loosen, move the positioner of one place, ensure another empty terminal is facing the recess.

Hand tool SGI2.0 7.2 Replace the Connector Slot When is necessary to change another connector keying, please follow the steps listed below, to replace the connector slot, which should match the connector keying that you want to terminate: 1. Find the M3 flat head screw at the positioner side (see figure 1), remove the screw with a 2mm hexagonal wrench (be careful at the small part) (see figure 2). -

Apply a coating of light mechanical oil to the joints 8.2 Periodic Maintenance Depending on the degree of utilization an inspection of the Hand tool for SGI2.0 should be done by qualified personnel. Apply a coating of light mechanical oil to the joints at regular intervals and protect them against con- taminants. -
