The GP-BOOST-50/12 is a 24, 36, or 48-volt photovoltaic (PV) charge controller rated for a solar current input of 12 amps. The GP-BOOST- 50/12 converts a lower solar input voltage into a higher battery charging voltage.

The GP-BOOST-50/12 will limit PV current above 12 Amps. Although the GP-BOOST- 50/12 will accept PV current greater than 12 Amps for a short duration, damage may occur if the GP-BOOST-50/12 operates continuously with greater than 12 Amps of PV input.
GP-BOOST-50/12 _________________________________________________________________________________ 2.0 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS THIS MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GP-BOOST-50/12 THAT SHOULD BE FOLLOWED DURING INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF GP-BOOST-50/12. Electricity can be very dangerous. Installation Disconnect all should be performed only by a licensed power electrician or qualified personnel.
For instructions regarding the Go Power! RV Solar Power Kit installation, please refer to the Installation Guide provided with the Kit. 4.0 Choosing a Location The GP-BOOST-50/12 is designed to be mounted vertically in a battery box. The GP-BOOST-50/12 should be: •...

Wiring the GP-BOOST-50/12. Wire the GP-BOOST-50/12 according to the wiring schematic in Section 6. Run wires from the solar array and the batteries to the location of the GP-BOOST-50/12. Keep the solar array covered with an opaque material until all wiring is completed.
_________________________________________________________________________________ Wiring Diagram The GP-BOOST-50/12 is based on a 12 amp maximum power input from the solar modules. E.G. Two modules in parallel with an input of 6 amps each equal a total input of 12 amps. Most solar modules list the input amps on their specifications label.
7.3 Errors Over Voltage If GP-BOOST-50/12 senses a battery over voltage >31.0/46.5/62.0V, the controller will stop charging, the red LED will be on, and the yellow LED will be flashing. The controller will resume operating when the error is cleared.
10.0 Limited Warranty 1. Go Power! warrants the GP-BOOST-50/12 for a period of five (5) years from the date of shipment from its factory. This warranty is valid against defects in materials and workmanship for the five (5) year warranty period.
