3. Left and right hearing aid markings There is a red or blue marking to tell you if it is a left or a right hearing aid. The color mark is located on the battery door, on the shell (text printed in red or blue) or the shell is colored red or blue.
4. Turning your hearing aids on and off The battery door is also the on/off switch. 1. Closed battery door = hearing aid is on 2. Opened battery door = hearing aid is off When you turn your hearing aids on you may hear a start-up melody.

Low power: You will hear two beeps when the battery is low. You will have approximately 30 minutes to change the battery (this can vary, depending on the hearing aid settings and battery). We recommend that you always have a new battery on hand.

6. Putting on the hearing aid Inserting your hearing aid 1. Hold the hearing aid between your thumb and index finger with the battery door facing away from your ear. 2. If your hearing aid has a removal handle, insert by holding the hearing aid with the removal handle at the bottom.

IIC Remote Control Adjusting Relate 10 NW O hearing aid The IIC Remote Control contains a magnet that keychain functions like a remote housing control to change the settings of some IIC Remote Relate 10 NW O Control configurations. Your hearing aid in combination with IIC Remote Control can have various functions or can remain inactive.

Promptly remove the magnet as soon as your hearing aid is in the desired program or the volume is ideal for you. 12. Initial pairing Relate 312 Dir Initial pairing to Bluetooth enabled device ® 1. On your device (e.g. a phone), ensure that Bluetooth wireless technology is enabled and search for Bluetooth enabled devices in the connectivity setting menu. 2. Turn your hearing aids on by closing the battery door.

Consult your phone user guide for instructions on pairing a Bluetooth device with your phone. It is only necessary to perform the pairing procedure once with each device featuring Bluetooth wireless technology. Aft er the initial pairing, your hearing aids will connect automatically to the device.

Relate 312 NW O and Relate 10 NW O only: Easy telephone Your hearing aids may also have a telephone feature, which automatically switches to a dedicated telephone program when a receiver is brought close to one of your hearing aids. You will hear a short melody when you switch to the easy telephone program.
14. Flight mode Relate 312 Dir Your hearing aids operate between 2.4 GHz– 2.48 GHz frequency range. When flying, some operators require all devices to be switched into flight mode. Entering flight mode will not disable normal hearing aid functionality, only the Bluetooth connectivity functions.

Exit flight mode To enable the wireless function and exit flight mode in each hearing aid: 1. Open battery door. 2. Close the battery door again.
15. Assistive listening devices Listening in public places Telecoil is only available on Relate 312 NW O, and Relate 10 NW O models. Telecoils pick up electromagnetic energy and convert it into sound. Your hearing aids may have a telecoil option that can help you listen in public places equipped with telecoil compatible assistive listening devices such as a loop system.
Diligent and routine care of your hearing aid contributes to outstanding performance and a long service life. To ensure a long service life, Sonova AG provides a minimum of a five year service period after phase out of the respective hearing aid. Please use the following specifications as a guideline.

Relate 10 NW O hearing aids are classified as IP68. This means that they are water and dust resistant and designed to withstand daily life situations. It can be worn in the rain but should not be fully submerged in water or used when taking a shower, swimming or other water activities.
Please ask the hearing care professional where you purchased your hearing aid about the terms of the local warranty. International warranty Sonova AG offers a one year limited international warranty, valid starting from the date of purchase. This limited warranty covers manufacturing and material defects in the hearing aid itself, but not accessories such as batteries.

Damage caused by third parties or non-authorized service centers renders the warranty null and void. They are designed to withstand normal activities and occasional accidental exposure to extreme conditions. Never immerse your hearing aid in water!
