7 Troubleshooting
The system provides messages on the display in case of errors or problems:
• Error messages are displayed in red color. In this case the measured values are invalid. Mea-
• Warning messages are displayed in orange color. In this case the measured values are valid.

7.1 Measurement Problems

Solution
Perform calibration the external white calibra-
tion standard.
Appears if an error occurs during measure-
ment.
Make sure to completely cover measurement
aperture.
Make sure to hold the instrument stable dur-
ing measurement.
Repeat measurement.
Instrument temperature is > 45°C.
Allow the instrument to cool down.
Instrument temperature is < 5°C.
Allow the instrument to warm up.
Delete stored measurements.
Contact service.
Disable the jetness indices – see
Measurement

surement. Repeat measurement on a different
spot without moving the instrument.
If message appears without movements, deac-
tivate the option Use gloss for movement
