A barrier designed to reduce the risk of
burns from the hot viewing glass is provided
with this appliance and must be installed for
the protection of children and other at-risk
individuals.
CAUTION! Do not install damaged components.
CAUTION! Risk of Cuts or Abrasions. Wear protective
gloves and safety glasses during installation.
NOTICE: Handle refractory panels with care. Refractory
may chip or crack if dropped or impacted.
TOOLS
Screw gun equipped with 1/4 in. socket or
1/4 in. wrench or socket
KIT COMPONENTS
(1) Left Refractory Panel
(1) Right Refractory Panel
(1) Rear Refractory Panel
(1) Top Refractory Panel
Installation Instructions
1. If installed, remove any existing brick or glass liner
kits, logs and remove any media from the left and
right basepans.
2. Lift and remove the left and right basepans. See
Figure 1.

3. Remove left, right, back and top refractory pieces
from the packaging.
4. Install the rear refractory by placing it into the rear
refractory bracket located above the air passage. See
Figure 1. Push down on the panel to ensure that the
outer legs engage screw tips.
5. Gently push the rear refractory toward the back of the
firebox until the refractory contacts the firebox. See
Figure 2.
