Personal preferences

If English isn't your native language, you will probably want to set a different
menu language in the «Preference settings». You can also set your preferences
for films and programmes broadcast in several languages – this option is set to
increase in future. You can also specify how long the channel bar should stay
on-screen after changing channels.
Opening the «Preference settings» menu
• Display the «Settings» menu on the screen (see «Opening the settings menu»)
• Press , , and to select «Preference settings». The «Preference settings»
bar is highlighted.
• Press . The «Preference settings» menu now appears on-screen.
Chapter 9. Settings
The following options are now available:
1. Menu language is the active option. Use this setting to change the on-screen
menu language. Press

2. Press to select the «Soundtrack language» option and set the preferred
language for programmes broadcast in several languages. Press
to select another setting. You can choose between the original language
(the language in which the programme was recorded) and a large number
of other languages (the programme is then broadcast in a dubbed version,
provided the sound in the requested language is available).
3. Press to select the «Subtitle language» option and set the preferred
subtitle language for programmes broadcast with subtitles in several
languages. Press
are «OFF» (the programme is shown without subtitles) and a large number
of other languages (the programme is then shown with subtitles in the
selected language, provided these subtitles are available).

hearing.

select the time that the channel bar remains visible on the screen when
changing channels. Press
