    Chapter 2 Preparation — Setting up Setting up Before setting up f When setting up the device, do so while the AC adapter and external devices are disconnected. f Be sure to fix the cables and supplied AC adapter to be connected to the device to the rack, truss, etc. so that the weight of the cables and AC adapter will not be directly applied to the device.
  • Page 19 Chapter 2 Preparation — Setting up Mounting one device When mounting one device in a rack, use a separately sold Rack Mounting Kit (model no.: ET-PKFMJ1). Rack mounting brackets Attach the rack mounting brackets. f Attach the rack mounting brackets of the Rack Mounting Kit (model no.: ET-PKFMJ1) to the rack mounting bracket attachment positions on the left and right sides of the device.

    Chapter 2 Preparation — Setting up Attach the brackets to the second device. f In the same way as for the first device, attach the rack mounting bracket (1) and connection angle brackets (2) to the side opposite that of each of step 1) and step 2). f Securely fix them in place with a Phillips screwdriver using the 9 supplied screws (M3x6) of the Rack Mounting Kit (model no.: ET-PKFMJ2).

When you connect the AC adapter to the device and connect the power cord to the outlet, power is supplied to the unit and operation starts. When you have finished using the device, remove the power plug from the outlet.

When using the device for the first time or when the network settings of the device have been initialized, you need to change the settings according to the network environment to be connected for operation.
