The I/O Configuration can now be mapped on to the PROFINET IO Controller
Unit. The PROFINET IO Controller Unit provides a means to map individual
I/O Configuration modules to specific memory areas.
As an example, the I/O mapping of the I/O Configuration made using the
Generic Device IO DTM is shown in the window below.
The window above shows the SmartSlice I/O Input data, mapped onto CIO
3300 to 3304. The first row indicates the COM Status word, the other rows
indicate the GRT1-ID Units.
After setting up the I/O Configuration, it needs to be downloaded to the
Controller Unit.
