1. GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
WHEN USING POWER TOOLS
WARN ING!
WARNING! Read all safety warnings,
instructions, illustrations and spec-
ifications provided with this pow-
er tool. Neglecting to follow all of
the instructions below may result in
electric shock, fire, and/or serious
personal injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference.
The term «power tool», «power tool»
or «power machine» in these warnings
refers to your mains powered or cord-
less (cordless) power tool.
Safety at the workplace
– Keep the workplace clean and proper-
ly lit. Clutter and poor lighting can lead
to accidents.
– Do not use the power tool in an explo-
sive atmosphere, such as near flamma-
ble liquids, gases or dust. Power tools
generate sparks that can ignite dust or
fumes.
– Do not allow children and unauthorized
persons to the place of operation of
the electric machine. Distraction can
cause you to lose control of the pow-
er tool.
Electrical safety
– The plug of the power tool must match
the outlet. Do not make any chang-
es to the plug under any circumstanc-
es. Do not use any adapter plugs for
grounded power tools. Using unmodi-
fied plugs that match the outlet reduc-
es the risk of electric shock.
4
– When working with a power tool, do
not touch grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators, electric stoves and re-
frigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is grounded.
– Do not expose power tools to rain or
moisture. When water gets into an
electric tool, the risk of electric shock
increases.
– Do not allow careless handling of the
power cord. Never use the power cord
to carry, pull, or turn off the power
tool. Do not allow the power cord to
come into contact with heat sources,
oil, grease, sharp edges or moving ob-
jects. If the power cord is damaged or
twisted, the risk of electric shock in-
creases.
– When operating the power tool out-
doors, use an extension cord suitable
for outdoor use. Using an extension
cord for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
– If it is necessary to work in a wet room,
use a power source with a protective
disconnection device. The use of a pro-
tective device reduces the risk of elec-
tric shock.
Personal safety
– Be careful, watch your actions and use
common sense when working with
power tools. Do not use a power tool if
you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. Even the
slightest inattention when operating a
power tool can result in serious injury.
– Use personal safety equipment. Be sure
to use safety glasses. Using appropri-
ate protective equipment, such as res-
pirators, non-slip safety shoes, and a
hard hat or hearing protection, reduc-
es the likelihood of injury.
– Take precautionary measures in case
of unexpected start-up. The switch
must be in the off position before con-
necting to a power source or battery,
while lifting or carrying the power tool.
Do not keep your finger on the switch
when carrying the power tool, and do
not connect it to the power source
while the switch is on.
