Attach the regulator to the direct sample line

If the the GastroCH ECK® monitor failed its calibration a

red cross will show, press the retry icon to try again.
If unsuccessful consult the troubleshooting manual or call
your Bedfont® supplier

Open the gas regulator to perform the test

If the GastroCH ECK® successfully completed its calibration a

green tick will show.

Close the regulator when the calibration is finished
How to perform a breath test:
Bedfont® Scientific Ltd. has put together some advice on how to safely perform breath tests during the pandemic,
however, first and foremost, it is recommended that you follow your local guidelines on breath testing procedures
and necessary PPE

The GastroCH ECK® should be wiped down before and after each test.

To perform a breath test, firstly make sure that the
GastroCH ECK® Gastrolyzer® is plugged

into the mains and to turn on the monitor.

A new mouthpiece should be used for each patient.
It is best practice for the patient to attach their own
mouthpiece to the sample line

Follow the instructions on the GastroCH ECK®

to complete a breath test. Firstly, inhale

The external surfaces of the sample line should also be
wiped down before and after each test

Connect the direct sample line to the
GastroCH ECK® Monitor, there should be an audible click

Press breath test icon to start the test and allow the monitor
to zero, Press capture now if you're using the GastroCHART™
software

Exhale slowly into the mouthpiece, trying to keep the arrow
in the green section, the test will automatically start and
the arrow will turn green when the breath O reduces to the

target 15%
