9-6. AUDIO SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
e Perform the adjustment using the color bar signal as a video
signal input.
[Connecting the measuring Instruments for the audio]
Connect the audio system measuring instruments besides the
video system measuring instruments as shown in Fig. 9-25, and
perform adjustments with the power switch [video] position.
Switch the input/output switchover switch in accordance with the
mode as follows.
¢ Input position ------- Recording mode
e Output position -----Playback mode
Adjust the bilingual switch (CF-3200 board S12) to the following
position unless specified otherwise.
e Green (stereo) position
Use an extension cord if necessary.
e For AU-135 board (30P, 0.8 mm)

Note: 1) When inputting the audio signal, input the same signal
to both L, and R channels, unless specified otherwise.
2) Be sure to insert the plug (shorting plug or dummy
plug, etc.) into the audio input/output terminal (right).
If the plug is not inserted, the unit will be set into the
monaural mode, and correct adjustments cannot be
carried out.
(Monaural mode)
During recording -- REC AFM RF1.7 MHz carrier will
not be output.

During playback: The L+R signal will be output from
the audio input/output terminal (left).
3) The items to be adjusted for the R channel will be
indicated within the [ ], in regard to the adjusting
items to be adjusted for both L and R channels.

When connecting the input/output equipment simultaneously,
adjust the input/output switchover switch to the [input] position,
and connect the audio oscillator/attenuater to the audio
input/output terminal.
