    Operators and maintenance personnel must have completed training through the marketing organization of Getinge. The information in this manual describes the machine as dispatched from Getinge Disinfection AB. There may be differences due to customization for customers or countries.
  • Page 5: Safety Precautions

    The cover plates, top and plinth may not be removed while the machine is operating. This overrules safety and the operation of the machine. • Spare parts must only be obtained from Getinge's sales companies. Isolator switch The machine must be preceded by a lockable switch for the electric power supply. The switch must be easily accessible on a wall close to the machine.

The items must be placed in the proper accessories, as recommended by Getinge Disinfection AB. The customer is responsible for ensuring that an Installation Qualification, Operating Qualification and Performance Qualification according to ISO 15883 are carried out before the product is put into use.

    Control panel The machine is operated from the control panel above the soiled-side door. The illustration below shows the location of buttons and indicators.     Door function The machine is fitted with either a single door or double doors. Machines with double doors have a system of interlocks to ensure that only one door can be opened at a time. This means that the clean-side door must be closed and locked before the soiled-side door can be opened.

    Dosing system Note: If the machine is not fitted with flow monitoring, the dosing must be checked visually. Note: When changing the type of detergent, the dosing system must be recalibrated for the new detergent. In standard form, the machine has two dosing systems. Some machines are equipped with a third and fourth dosing system.

    During ongoing program While the program is running, a yellow lamp at is lit and the program phase (e.g. “Rinse”) and the current temperature are shown in the display. Press to see how much time remains. To interrupt the process press for 5 seconds.

    Placement of items Note: All containers must be emptied entirely before they are loaded into the machine. • Use inserts and special inserts as intended and only for the items and utensils that are going to be washed. • Make sure that the water jets reach all surfaces of the items. Surfaces that are covered in any way will not be cleaned thoroughly.
  • Page 15: Handling Chemical Agents

    • Follow the dosing instructions of the detergent manufacturer. The cleaning effect may vary between different detergents. If a cleaning result is not satisfactory, try switching to a different quality detergent from Getinge Disinfection AB. Daily inspection • Check that no objects have fallen down into the bottom of the washing chamber. Loose objects may cause blockages and seriously reduce the performance of the washer-disinfector.

A dirty coarse strainer may prevent water from circulating and create the conditions for the growth of bacteria. If necessary for cleaning, open the strainer with the two nuts.

  • Page 18 The outside The front and side walls can be cleaned and disinfected with an alcohol-based cleaning agent or medical spirit. The control panel can be cleaned in the same way. Remove stains with an ordinary cleaner for stainless steel. If the washer disinfector is used without automatic descaling for incoming water, the heating element must be checked regularly for limescale deposits.

    PROCESS Edit parameters Normally the preset parameter settings of the installed programs are used, but in special cases it may be necessary to adjust certain parameters for matching to a specific wash process. Information about the parameters that can be changed and their limit values can be found under "Technical Manual."     Handling alarm Note: When the handling alarm for low detergent level appears in the display, there is always enough detergent remaining for one cycle; that is, the program that was started can finish running. Handling alarms appear in the display in plain text. The machine cannot be started until the error has been corrected.

    Alarm If the red lamp lights up, the process has been aborted because of an error. The display shows an error code. Acknowledgement of an error code The items in the machine are not clean and must be washed again from the beginning with a new program.

    Error codes in the machine Error codes indicate that a serious error has occurred in the machine or the washing process. The error must be corrected by an authorized service technician.     Do not use detergent for household dishwashers. Dosing monitoring only works with agents with viscosities lower than 10 cSt. The machine has been proven and tested with Getinge Disinfection AB's range of detergents as per ISO 15883-1:2006. Note: The specified performance may not be achieved if other process chemicals than those which were tested during type testing are used.

    High concentrations of, and high exposure to, sanitary chemicals may cause corrosion and pitting on stainless steel. Getinge Disinfection AB recommends that water used in the pre-rinsing, washing and final rinsing phases should be of drinking quality in accordance with the guidelines. Recommended water quality is drinking water with max.

    HANDLING OF WORN PRODUCTS This product and its accessories comply with the requirements in the WEEE directive (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) 2002/96/EC. Worn-out products must be disposed of at recycling stations in accordance with local regulations. If required, contact your reseller for more information. Note: The product may be contaminated and has to be disinfected before recycling.
