2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These operating instructions describe a hand-
guided cordless hedge trimmer.
All batteries (Bxxx Li) and chargers (Cxxx Li)
from the AL-KO 36V system can be used.
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the ap-
pliance and battery. If the appliance is operated
with an unsuitable battery, both the device and
the battery may be damaged.
Only operate the appliance with the specified
rechargeable battery.

2.1

Intended use

This hedge trimmer is intended exclusively for
trimming hedges, shrubs and bushes.
The hedge trimmer may only be used with the
defined OEM accessories (see chapter 2.7 "Op-
tional accessories", page 21).
Any other forms of use and unauthorised conver-
sions or modifications are regarded as contrary to

the intended use and will result in voiding of the
warranty as well as loss of conformity; the manu-
facturer will thus decline any responsibility for
damage and/or injury suffered by the user or third
parties.
2.2

Possible foreseeable misuse

The safety devices must not be dismantled or
bypassed, e.g. by tying the safety switches to
the handles.
Do not use the appliance in a potentially ex-
plosive atmosphere.
Do not use the appliance in rainy weather.
Do not use the appliance for trimming wet
hedges and bushes.
The tool is designed neither for commercial use
in public parks and sports facilities, nor for use in
farming and forestry.

disabled safety and protective devices can result
in serious injury.
Have any defective safety and protective de-
vices repaired.
Never disable safety and protective devices.
