Safety Instructions
The ECD-2010 EXceed is a detector for Shimadzu gas chromatograph GC-2010 Plus.
The Gas Chromatograph is a gas chromatography system used to perform qualitative and
quantitative analysis.
To ensure safe product operation, read these important safety instructions carefully
before use and follow all DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION instructions given in this
section.
n Product Application
Use the product ONLY for the intended purpose.
Operate the product by following the procedures in this manual.
Observe the warnings and precautions while operating the product.
n Inspection and Maintenance
Never remove the main cover.
This may cause an injury, equipment failure, or hazardous radiation exposure.
The main cover does not need to be removed for routine maintenance,
inspection, and adjustment. Have your Shimadzu representative perform any
repairs requiring removal of the main cover.
Unplug the power cord of the instrument before inspection, maintenance, or
parts replacement.
If the GC-2010 Plus unit's power cable is connected to a power distribution
board, turn OFF the board's switch.
Otherwise, electric shock or short-circuit accidents may occur.
When replacing a part, use the part described in the Instruction Manual.
If you use any other part, that part may be damaged, preventing normal use
of the instrument.
