Adjusting the tracking manually
if streaks or distortion should appear in the picture even after
auto tracking has been operated, press TRACKING
NORMAL/SLOW and STILL ADJUST W/A on the Remote
Commander to obtain the best possible picture.
The AUTO TRACKING indicator goes off in the display
window, and if the on-screen function is on, you can see the
tracking meter on the TV screen.

To reactivate the auto tracking
Press TRACKING AUTO/MANUAL on the Remote
Commander so that the AUTO TRACKING indicator lights up
in the display window.
Notes on auto tracking
¢ Auto tracking adjustment does not work for tapes recorded in LP
mode.
¢ During auto tracking-adjustment, streaks or distortion may appear.
Listening to Stereo or Bilingual Tapes
This VCR allows you to listen to a stereo or bilingual
program recorded on the tape.
Press AUDIO MONITOR on the Remote Commander to
select the kind of sound to hear.
Each time you press the button, stereo (left and right channel
sound), left-channel sound, right-channel sound or the sound
on the normal audio track is selected cyclically. The selected
sound is shown in the display window.

The AUDIO MONITOR button has no effect if used with a monaural
tape.

Normal Track Mixed
Set AUDIO MIX on the VCR to ON.
Note
" When you set AUDIO MIX to ON, the playback sound may become
muffled and the AUDIO MONITOR button does not function.
Reset to OFF after listening to the sound in AUDIO MIX mode.
