Audio Dubbing
You can record thé sound from a microphone on a recorded
tape while watching the playback picture. During audio
'dubbing, the sound will be recorded on the normal audio
track.
1 Insert a-'tape on which you want to do audio dubbing.
2 Connect a microphone to the MIC jack.
Notes
¢ The dubbed sound will be a mixture of the hi-fi sound on the
tape and the sound from the microphone.

¢ While the unit is in pause mode, you can only hear the sound
from the microphone.
3 Adjust the volume of the microphone with the MIC LEVEL
control.

4 advance the tape and locate the position on the tape
where you want to end audio dubbing, and press
COUNTER RESET to reset the counter to zero.
5 Rewind the tape and locate the position on the tape
where you want to start audio dubbing. Press If PAUSE
at the desired point.
6 Press AUDIO DUB.
The AUDIO DUB indicator lights up.

EDITING
When the counter reaches zero, the VCR automatically
stops.
Note
¢ Audio dubbing is not possible on a tape recorded in NTSC LP
mode.
¢ When you perform audio. dubbing on tapes recorded in NTSC EP
mode, you can only record the sound from the microphone.
¢ Place the audio dubbing end point where pictures are recorded
on the tape. If you do audio dubbing where no pictures are
recorded, audio noise may occur.
To stop during audio dubbing
Press li STOP.
To stop audio dubbing momentarily
Press Il PAUSE. To restart, press If! PAUSE again.
